ARTISTS

MIRRORHOUSE exists to document lives, practices, and perspectives that live freely untamed.

You might be a musician with a innovative project. A philosopher who never got to publish. A train driver who pencils landscapes at work.  A revolutionary who just so happens to play guitar. Titles are incidental. What matters to us is substance, and the internal world which conceives art.

We are not looking for work without identity or lifeless aesthetics. We are drawn to stories of radicals and mavericks who work with their internal logic and shape projects with obsession, solitude, discipline, or a defined worldview.

MIRRORHOUSE is a record of the fringe, the overlooked, the quietly transformative. We aim to preserve the beauty in moments before they are diluted, misread, or lost.

You do not need institutional validation or a large following. But you must have direction, purpose and a vision. If your practice, lifestyle, or thinking feels true in spirit, we invite you to submit to MIRRORHOUSE.

WRITERS

MIRRORHOUSE publishes both excavation and observation. We welcome long-form essays, cultural analysis, theory, and considered storytelling. We also publish present-tense work: emerging artists, current industry tropes, cultural movements forming in obscure environments.

If you are connecting unlikely dots, interrogating the direction of a scene, documenting a subculture before it hardens, or reframing something overlooked, we may want to read it. Each must carry informed authorship and not imitation.

We are interested in thoughts. When archiving old work, research is critical. When doing a think piece, creativity and articulation is essential. If you are passionate, be obsessive. What can you tell us that no one-else can?

It could be a reconsideration of Lou Reed through psychology. A found photo book of a lone occultist. A meditation on plant life as machinery. Subject is secondary. Insight is primary.

No experience is required, but strength is foundational to our long term goals. Half-formed commentary is of no use to us.

Submissions must be original and written by you. Anything written by robots is instantly devoided by us.

If you have vision for culture as it forms and can preserve it before it fades, it can live in the MIRRORHOUSE.
